Kingdom Christian Counseling
Portrait of Karolina Kovalev

Her approach

Karolina’s approach is honest, direct, encouraging and results-driven. She helps you uncover blind spots, recognize patterns you may not have noticed and change learned behaviors that haven’t helped you get where you want to be.

My goal isn’t to keep you in counseling forever.

In her words, healing isn’t only about managing better. It’s about rediscovering who you’ve always been underneath the survival, stress, expectations, disappointment and pressure to be enough.

Who she works with

Karolina works with adults, as individuals and as couples. Many are married, parents or professionals dealing with strain in a relationship, chronic stress, work-life balance and the weight of responsibilities that were never theirs to carry.

Others are working through the lasting effects of childhood trauma, abuse, controlling relationships, burnout or a major life transition. Some want their Christian faith to be part of counseling; others don’t. Both are welcome.

She offers counseling in English and Russian, in person in Vancouver and online for clients located in Washington, Sunday through Friday.

Why she keeps paper records

“I intentionally keep confidential clinical records in securely stored paper files rather than an electronic health record. For professionals, business owners and anyone who values discretion, it’s one more way I’ve chosen to make privacy an intentional part of my practice.”

The practice still uses Square for payments, Google Calendar for scheduling and Zoom for online sessions. None of them holds clinical records.
