Our standard
We’re committed to meeting the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. These are the internationally recognized guidelines for making websites usable by people with disabilities, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, magnification or voice control.
How the site is built
- Headings in order, page landmarks and a “Skip to main content” link.
- Everything works with a keyboard, with a clearly visible focus outline.
- Body text has a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1 against its background.
- Images have text alternatives; purely decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- The menu works without JavaScript.
- The site’s one animation, on the wax seal, is turned off if your device is set to reduce motion.
- Layouts adapt to small screens and to text zoom.
- The Notice of Privacy Practices is a web page as well as a PDF download.
