Counseling here
Is this only for Christians?
No. Clients of any belief, or none, are welcome. Christian perspectives, prayer and scripture are brought into counseling only if you ask for them, and you can change your mind at any time.
Do you see couples?
Yes. Karolina works with adults as individuals and as couples. Couples sessions are the same fee as individual sessions: $200 for 53 minutes.
Do you offer counseling in Russian?
Yes. Counseling is offered in English and Russian.
Can I meet online?
Yes. Online sessions use Zoom, for clients physically located in Washington during the session. Join from a private place where you won’t be overheard.
What if I’m not in Washington?
Karolina’s credential is a Washington credential, so online sessions are only available while you’re physically in Washington. If you’ll be out of state, you can meet in person in Vancouver or find another time.
Fees, records and policies
How long is a session, and what does it cost?
Sessions are 53 minutes and cost $200, including the first session. Cash, debit and credit cards and HSA cards are accepted; checks are not.
Do you take insurance?
This is a private-pay practice and doesn’t bill insurance. If your plan has out-of-network benefits, you can request a superbill by email (allow up to 14 calendar days) and submit it yourself. Reimbursement isn’t guaranteed.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancel at least 48 hours ahead and there’s no charge. Late cancellations and missed appointments are charged the full $200 fee. If you need to cancel late, text 971-464-1155 to ask for another time within 7 calendar days. If the new appointment is confirmed and attended, no late fee applies.
What happens to my records?
Counseling records and signed forms are kept in locked paper files, not in an electronic health record. They are still protected health records under HIPAA and Washington law, and like any health record they can be disclosed when the law requires it. You may ask to see or get a copy of your records.
Do you use any digital tools?
Yes, a few, for specific jobs: Square for payments, Google Calendar for scheduling and Zoom for online sessions. None of them is used as a clinical record.
Is this an emergency service?
No. In an emergency call 911. For a mental health crisis call or text 988. Phone, text and email aren’t monitored around the clock.
