What it can look like

  • Being told your memory of events is wrong, until you doubt it yourself
  • Walking on eggshells to manage someone else’s moods
  • Isolation from friends, family or money, by design
  • Cycles of charm, criticism and silent treatment
  • Confusion about whether it was “bad enough” to count
  • A partner, parent or boss with narcissistic personality traits
  • Anxiety, self-blame and lost confidence after leaving

How we work

The first task is naming what happened accurately, because coercive control works by making you doubt your own perception. From there, trauma-focused and strength-based work rebuilds self-trust, boundaries and a sense of what a healthy relationship feels like. Whether you are still in the relationship or years out of it, the work meets you where you are.
